Celina Ramirez is the Vice President of University Initiatives. In this role, she has advanced initiatives such as the expansion of parental leave, increase of lactation spaces, creation of staff affinity groups, COVID mitigation strategies, and campus safety enhancements. She is a proud Tucson native and has worked at the University for over 15 years. She previously served as the University's Chief Compliance Officer and ADA/504 Compliance Officer, as well as in roles in Human Resources and the Office of Institutional Equity.

Before joining the University, Celina worked at the San Francisco Human Rights Commission and the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. Her undergraduate and law degrees are from Stanford University, but she always roots for the Wildcats.
