Amy Glicken, MPH
Amy Glicken is proud to serve as a Senior Project Director in University Initiatives & Policy, where she manages high priority projects that advance the University’s mission.
Since joining the office in January of 2020, Amy has contributed to the following initiatives:
- Expansion of parental leave for staff, faculty, and graduate assistants/associates
- Campus Safety enhancements
- Flexible Work Initiative
- Growth of lactation spaces on campus
- COVID-19 mitigation efforts, including serving on the COVID-19 Response Team and the Public Health Advisory Coronavirus Team (PHACT), managing the COVID-19 dashboard, assisting the testing and vaccine teams, and providing project management for the Wastewater-Based Epidemiology team
- Event and Space Management
In addition, Amy works with Annette Maggio and Celina Ramirez to oversee the university's policy process.
Amy obtained a BA in Sociology from Grinnell College and a Master of Public Health in Community Health Practice from the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. She has worked at the University of Arizona for over 17 years, previously as the Director of Admissions for the College of Public Health. Amy also has experience in working with community-based non-profit organizations, including Southern Arizona Legal Aid, Planned Parenthood, and Step Up to Justice.
